FARMINGTON \u2013 The seven qualifying tournament locations and dates have been announced for the 2024 Connie Mack World Series.<\/p>\n

The American Amateur Baseball Congress released dates and locations last week as preparations get underway for the CMWS, which returns to Farmington in late July.<\/p>\n

In addition to the seven qualifying tournaments, there will be five teams receiving automatic bids for the CMWS, including the defending champion Dallas Tigers. Other teams receiving automatic bids are the Midland (Ohio) Redskins, the Dallas-based D-Bat Elite, the 2023 Don Mattingly World Series champion Texas Twelve Red Sox and the local team, which will serve as host team for the tournament.<\/p>\n

Regional qualifying tournaments will take place throughout June and over the first two weeks in July before teams make the trek to New Mexico for the 63rd renewal of the annual tournament.<\/p>\n

The first regional qualifying tournament will take place in Ontario, Canada, in the AABC Canada event, presented by Five Tool Baseball. Last year\u2019s winner of that tournament, the Mississauga Tigers, was the first Canadian team in the Connie Mack World Series in more than a decade. The AABC Canada tournament gets underway June 7.<\/p>\n

The Heart of America AABC Ozarks qualifier gets underway June 13 in Joplin, Missouri. Last year\u2019s winning team, Sandlot Tulsa, was one of two teams in the CMWS from the state of Oklahoma. the Ozarks qualifier will open on June 13.<\/p>\n

That following weekend, starting June 18, is the opening day of the AABC Mountain West qualifying tournament. The Albuquerque Baseball Academy earned its way into last year\u2019s CMWS by winning that tournament.<\/p>\n

Three tournaments will take place the following weekend. The AABC Texas qualifier, which will take place in Melissa, Texas, along with the AABC South qualifier in Hammond, Louisiana and the AABC West qualifier, which takes place in Orange County, California. The defending champion Tigers were winners of last year\u2019s Texas qualifier, while the NOLA Cardinals won the South qualifier and the Colton (California.) Nighthawks prevailed in the West tournament.<\/p>\n

The final qualifying tournament will take place in Norman, Oklahoma, where the AABC South Plains regional will be held beginning July 11. The Oklahoma Express advanced from that regional tournament last year for the team\u2019s first appearance in the CMWS.<\/p>\n
