Spread some joy to children this holiday season through the Christmas for Kids Angel Tree sponsored by The Pi\u00f1on Project and The Journal<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Drop by The Journal\u2019s<\/em> office at 8 W. Main Street in Cortez to choose an angel with the name of a local child and their wish list.<\/p>\n

Drop off the gifts unwrapped and labeled with the child\u2019s name to the Pi\u00f1on Project, 210 E. Main St. in Cortez by Dec. 23.<\/p>\n

\u201cYear after year, many of the same individuals or families participate in our Angel Tree,\u201d said Journal<\/em> receptionist Tamara Desrosiers. \u201cThey love the thought of making a child\u2019s holiday a little warmer and brighter.\u201d<\/p>\n

The families in need are chosen by the Pi\u00f1on Project for the Angel Tree project. Kids provide their age and clothing sizes, which takes some of the guesswork out of shopping.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a much larger number of angels this year, so the generosity of the community is greatly appreciated,\u201d Desrosiers said.<\/p>\n
