Courtesy San Juan College<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The San Juan College Board of Trustees recently administered the oath of office to two newly appointed members. Both were elected in November, and both assumed their positions on the board on Jan. 9, according to a news release from the college on Feb. 8.<\/p>\n<p>GloJean Todacheene, a dedicated educator and public servant, took the oath of office to represent District 1. Todacheene is a 1971 graduate of Shiprock High School. She holds a master\u2019s degree in educational administration, and a bachelor\u2019s degree in family and consumer science. She holds a minor in health education and serves as a San Juan County commissioner.<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image naviga-align-left alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=ff5f375b-b0c6-52b6-8415-c8bbcc98313a&#038;function=cover&#038;type=preview&#038;source=false&#038;width=2000\" width=\"800\" height=\"804\" alt=\"Trustee Bev Taylor is a well-known member of the community who is involved in the area\u2019s art scene. She is a former adjunct art instructor at San Juan College, and has been married to former Farmington Mayor Tom Taylor for 55 years.\" class=\"naviga-image\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><figcaption><span class=\"caption\">Trustee Bev Taylor is a well-known member of the community who is involved in the area\u2019s art scene. She is a former adjunct art instructor at San Juan College, and has been married to former Farmington Mayor Tom Taylor for 55 years.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Trustee Bev Taylor is a professional artist, business owner and community-minded lifelong resident of Farmington. Taylor, who took the oath of office to represent District 5, is a 1966 graduate of Farmington High School. She holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in art history, and owns Artif<a href=\"https:\/\/www.artifacts302.com\/gallery\/\" id=\"link-0561a3ec0638b3abfa0d2a56c2e79732\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">acts Gallery, 302<\/a> E. Main St. She has served the community in many capacities with organizations such as the Northwest New Mexico Arts Council, River Reach Foundation, the San Juan College Foundation Board, Museum of New Mexico Board of Regents and the San Juan Symphony Board.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor and Todacheene complete the representation of the SJC board as members with: Evelyn Benny of District 2; Byron Manning of District 3; Joe Rasor of District 4; R.
