Durango Police Department is searching for a 15-year-old girl who was reported missing Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

According to a Missing Indigenous Person Alert, DeVaughn Alonzo was last seen outside Durango High School at 3 p.m. Monday. Durango Police Department Detective Deondre Ball said foul play is not suspected and that it is likely a runaway scenario.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe most credible information we have right now is that she\u2019s down in Farmington,\u201d Ball said.<\/p>\n

Ball said Alonzo has a history of running away. Law enforcement expects she is commuting by vehicle or hitch hiking to the Farmington-Kirtland area.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one has given us reports of a vehicle thus far,\u201d Ball said.<\/p>\n

He said Alonzo is relatively new to Durango and from the Farmington area near Kirtland.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe assume that she was going to try to get back home somewhere near Kirtland,\u201d Ball said.<\/p>\n

DPD has been working in collaboration with Farmington law enforcement agencies to see if she\u2019s been spotted in a vehicle.<\/p>\n

She was last seen wearing a black hoodie, gray shirt, black sweatpants, black and white Converse shoes, and a blue backpack. If seen, call 911 or the Durango Police Department at (970) 764-7032.<\/p>\n
