On Wednesday, Southwest Health Systems announced the hire of two doctors at Southwest Memorial Hospital, according to a news release.<\/p>\n

Dr. Chris Jetter is a podiatrist who specializes in foot and ankle trauma, Charcot reconstruction and sports injuries. He received advanced surgical training in reconstruction during a fellowship at the University of Louisville.<\/p>\n

Since 2016, Jetter practiced at Alaska Foot and Ankle Specialists.<\/p>\n

Southwest Health described Jetter as an \u201cadvocate for patient-centered care,\u201d providing quality care and innovative treatments.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis exceptional qualifications and dedication to podiatry will greatly benefit our patients and the broader Cortez community,\u201d said CEO Joe Theine.<\/p>\n

The second hire, Dr. Jocelyn Hirschman, practices family medicine and specializes in geriatric care. She has a decade of experience.<\/p>\n

Hirschman has expressed her intention to focus on chronic medical conditions, especially those in elderly citizens.<\/p>\n

She completed her residency at Lawrence Family Medicine Residency in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and graduated with her MD from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and her master\u2019s in international health from Tulane School of Public Health.<\/p>\n

Before joining Southwest Memorial, Hirschman was the acting clinical director and director of community health at the Hopi Health Care Center in Polacca, Arizona, where she supervised clinical staff and helped develop interventions for disease prevention and promote health-based practices.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer extensive experience and dedication to family medicine, particularly in geriatric care, will greatly enhance our ability to provide comprehensive care for older adults with complex illnesses,\u201d Theine said.<\/p>\n
