Angela Deguelle of the Colorado State Patrol.<\/p>\n<p>The westbound vehicle went off the opposite side of the road, down an embankment and across a ditch, rolling 1\u00bd times before stopping on County Road R, nearly 12 miles northwest of Mancos.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"naviga-map\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=37.428965209967%2C-108.4322249101&amp;z=15&amp;output=embed\" width=\"100%\" height=\"400\" style=\"border:0;\" allowfullscreen loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Map\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n<p>Deguelle could not say whether speed was a factor in the crash, but said impairment was not thought to be a factor. The investigation is continuing.<\/p>\n<p>One passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken by ambulance to a hospital, and the second passenger was flown by a helicopter to a hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased passenger was identified as Minor, according to a Facebook <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/BWdLyFVSnt2nNo7P\/\" id=\"link-efc4f2de28abb4d6d4cf67a4db4deab9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post<\/a> Wednesday by the Mancos Marshal\u2019s Office. He was the son of deputy Jesse Minor of the Mancos Marshal\u2019s Office and his wife, Shandra.<\/p>\n<p>Dolores School District RE-4A announced in a Facebook <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/MzcjRPfe8PNx812o\/\" id=\"link-0b1aa52da2ff73d22493dba419a3cdc8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post<\/a> Wednesday that all three were Dolores High School students, and the two injured teens were in \u201cstable condition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Marshal\u2019s Office said the three teens were traveling to Dolores for basketball practice at the time of the crash.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial funds to assist the Minor family have been set up at all branches of the Dolores State Bank and Four Corners Community Bank.<\/p>\n<p>The district planned a \u201csafe meeting space\u201d with counselors for students and staff from 9 a.m. to noon in the high school and middle school commons.<\/p>\n<p>The district urged people to reach out for support.
