(Jerry Berg\/Courtesy photo)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>A one-vehicle crash involving a flatbed pickup and trailer held up traffic up on Highway 160 west of Mancos on Tuesday, June 25 for about two hours, according to a crash report from Colorado State Patrol.<\/p>\n<p>No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p>The crash was reported at 9:56 a.m. on June 25, and CSP Trooper Steven King arrived on scene at 10:03 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>According to the crash report, the Ford F-350 flatbed pickup was pulling an oil\/tar trailer and was traveling east on U.S. 160 when the vehicle crossed over into the westbound lane, left the road and hit a delineator post.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"naviga-map\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=37.326965812602%2C-108.37183861586&amp;z=15&amp;output=embed\" width=\"100%\" height=\"400\" style=\"border:0;\" allowfullscreen loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Map\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image naviga-align-left alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=f39d08a0-5b49-5a2d-894a-c107b3a2a180&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" alt=\"A single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 160 spilled oil or tar on the roadway and held traffic up for about two hours on June 25. (Montezuma County Colorado Facebook photo)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>King\u2019s report states that the trailer began to roll while off the roadway, then rolled halfway when the driver corrected his steering and reentered the highway, breaking the pintle hitch<\/p>\n<p>The pickup truck came to a complete stop in the eastbound lane and shoulder at approximately mile point 50.9.<\/p>\n<p>The driver was identified by his Oklahoma driver\u2019s license as 42-year-old Marvin Welch. The vehicle he was driving belongs to DBA Asphalt Paving, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>Welch was cited for careless driving, and the vehicle was towed by Kustom Diesel \u201cdue to disabling damage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Mancos Marshal\u2019s Office responded to the scene as well to help with traffic control, Marshal Justen Goodall told a reporter via email.<\/p>\n<p><em id=\"emphasis-e5ae9cbcfa98aa0041877771e5638fdd\">The Journal<\/em> requested the crash report from CSP last week and received it via email Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>A Facebook post by the Montezuma County Colorado page showed oil or tar spilling from the trailer onto the roadway.
