(Journal File Photo)<\/span><span class=\"credit\">du1-i-syn<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>Although Cortez Youth Football closed its registration to players last month, the program will be reopening registration because of available scholarships.<\/p>\n<p>Students from second through sixth grade are eligible to participate in the program, which starts this upcoming Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Those who signed up before the deadline played five-on-five flag football throughout July, and that part of the program ended on Wednesday. Tackle football starts this upcoming Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Registration costs $150, and the fee pays for items including a jersey, helmet, socks and pads.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement of the additional scholarships came on Thursday.
