On Thursday, the city of Cortez announced that the 2025 Cortez Community Support Grant deadline is Friday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m.<\/p>\n

The city budgets money from the general fund to support local businesses and organizations that \u201cpreserve or enrich the health, education and welfare of the community\u201d through the grants.<\/p>\n

The grants total up to $5,000, and can be used to support activities and programs that serve the community and \u201cencourage the development of healthy community organizations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Those who receive grants will receive the funding in January of 2025.<\/p>\n

The grant\u2019s application and guidelines for applying can be found online<\/a> at the City of Cortez\u2019s website at https:\/\/www.cortezco.gov\/455\/Community-Support-Grant-Program.<\/p>\n

Applications can be submitted to Debbie Speer by sending an email to dspeer@cortezco.gov<\/a>, through the mail or in person at the City Council building.<\/p>\n

Mail can be sent to the City of Cortez, Attn: Debbie Speer, 123 Roger Smith Ave. in Cortez. The applications must be received by the city by 5 p.m. on Oct. 18.<\/p>\n
