(Journal file photo)<\/span><span class=\"credit\">du1-i-syn<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>The Montezuma-Cortez school district\u2019s School Based Health Center recently released updated information on its offerings for students, families of students and district staff.<\/p>\n<p>The health center is at the Montezuma-Cortez High School.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSBHC provides access to comprehensive primary and behavioral health care in a convenient, inviting environment,\u201d the center said.<\/p>\n<p>Teresa Brown-Sanchez and Candiss Wolle are the center\u2019s physicians, offering services for sports physicals, preschool physicals, well-child checks, acute injury and illness, reproductive health, testing and treatment of STD\/STIS, lab tests (limited), concussion management education, parent and student health, reproductive health, drug, tobacco, alcohol prevention and treatment, youth mental and behavior health, as well as individual, family and telehealth.<\/p>\n<p>There is no charge for students to visit the school nurse, but insurance will be billed for a provider visit. Care will be provided, however, regardless of the person\u2019s insurance or ability to pay, according to the center.<\/p>\n<p>Sports physicals are available for $35.<\/p>\n<p>The center operates from Monday through Thursday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. They are closed from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 a.m. for lunch.
