(Courtesy Community and Economic Development Department)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>The city of Cortez doubled what it will match for businesses interested in beautifying their storefronts, an increase that can be realized only in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s called the Business Beautification Mini-Grant program, which now offers \u201ca 50% match grant on projects up to $6,000,\u201d according to a news release from the Community and Economic Development Department.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, the city will now match up to $3,000 on \u201cqualifying expenses,\u201d up from a $1,500 match.<\/p>\n<p>The release specified that \u201cqualified expenses\u201d means purchasing materials needed for improving a business\u2019s exterior.
