Scientists say Phobos could be torn apart by Mars and form a dust cloud that will become a ring around Mars.<\/span><span class=\"credit\">du1-i-syn<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The San Juan College Planetarium\u2019s upcoming <em id=\"emphasis-35fbd786a7e6ffa24f4a6d3d8e03cf9b\">AstroFriday<\/em> presentation, \u201cThe Mars Show,\u201d promises to be an informative and engaging experience for all attendees, according to a press release from the college.<\/p>\n<p>The one-hour live presentation Friday will take visitors on a virtual tour of the red planet using the college\u2019s star projector and other computer technology. From viewing Mars as a globe to exploring the surface and observing the night sky from its perspective, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the Martian landscape and nearby celestial objects such as Mars\u2019 moons, Phobos and Deimos.<\/p>\n<p>San Juan College offers the event free of charge, no reservations are required, and seating capacity for 60 people will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
