Ben Bradley\/Special to The Journal<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>After adding soccer to his repertoire of sports early in his high school athletics career, Montezuma-Cortez senior Samson Lein earned all-state recognition to cap a a career as the final line of defense for the Panthers soccer team.<\/p>\n<p>Lein\u2019s 3A honorable mention joins a list of honored Panthers in recent seasons.<\/p>\n<p>He anchored the Panthers defense while playing every minute in goal, averaging nearly 11 saves per game to rank among the state leaders in the category.<\/p>\n<p>The multisport athlete collected a shutout in his final of three seasons as the starting goalkeeper for M-CHS as the Panthers collected a trio of victories this fall.
