{"id":24555,"date":"2024-12-05T20:26:43","date_gmt":"2024-12-06T03:26:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/bloomfield-teen-missing-for-10-days-family-searching\/"},"modified":"2026-03-31T04:55:20","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T04:55:20","slug":"bloomfield-teen-missing-for-10-days-family-searching","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/bloomfield-teen-missing-for-10-days-family-searching\/","title":{"rendered":"Bloomfield teen missing for 10 days; family searching"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image naviga-align-left alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=a23f3c57-3d14-57a6-a745-b5bca4554fc4&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" width=\"196\" height=\"236\" alt=\"Kyana Perez\" class=\"naviga-image\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption><span class=\"caption\">Kyana Perez<\/span><span class=\"credit\">cca<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>A Bloomfield woman is searching for her 16-year-old daughter, who has been missing since Nov. 24 from the family home.<\/p>\n<p>Christa Malouff was in Durango the afternoon of Dec. 5 putting up posters throughout the town asking for assistance in locating her daughter, Kyana Perez, who walked out of the family home at 8 p.m. Nov. 24 and has not been seen or heard from since.<\/p>\n<p>Malouff said that nothing happened prior to Perez leaving the house.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNothing happened, just a teenager,\u201d she said, adding that she notified the San Juan County Sheriff\u2019s Office within five minutes of the teenage girl being gone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey knew about it when she walked out the door,\u201d Malouff said.<\/p>\n<p>Perez left behind her phone, coat and glasses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe is blind as a bat,\u201d Malouff said, adding that Perez also suffers from low blood sugar and has an auditory processing disorder.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s already been too long,\u201d Malouff said. \u201cIt\u2019s too long.
