The wall at Shiloh\u2019s Steakhouse, also known as the Sligo Wall, is nearly repaired after a crash in May that destroyed a large portion of the wall. Construction started Oct. 21.<\/p>\n

While the construction took place, the sidewalk and turn lane on northbound Sligo Street have been closed.<\/p>\n

The crash happened on the afternoon of May 9. Cody Mallett, the suspect in the crash, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of drugs.<\/p>\n

Mallett allegedly hit the driver\u2019s side of a black Chevy Silverado while driving westbound on the 2000 block of East Main Street.<\/p>\n

After he hit the truck, he lost control of the vehicle, going \u201cairborne\u201d through the LivWell Marijuana Dispensary parking lot, jumping the dispensary\u2019s driveway and continuing toward Shiloh\u2019s parking lot, according to officer Kadan Sharp\u2019s police report.<\/p>\n

Mallett\u2019s car reportedly went airborne a second time after coming in contact with Shiloh\u2019s access ramp and nearly hitting Kirby and Jodi Case, who were nearby. Before hitting the brick wall, Mallett\u2019s vehicle collided with the Case\u2019s black Nissan Rouge, a Chrysler Sebring and gray Jeep Grand Cherokee.<\/p>\n

The vehicle eventually came to a stop after crashing into the brick retaining wall on the west side of Shiloh\u2019s, 5 S. Veach St.<\/p>\n

Mallett allegedly told Sharp he had passed out and woke up after hitting the wall.<\/p>\n

Open marijuana and open alcohol containers were found in the vehicle, and Mallett\u2019s eyes were described as \u201cbloodshot and glassy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The drug test results for Mallett have just been received as well, according to the police department.<\/p>\n

Mallett will appear before Montezuma County Judge Ian MacLaren for a plea hearing on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 1:30 p.m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
