The city of Cortez will be hosting another open house to receive further feedback and input from community members on the land use code update.<\/p>\n

The open house is at the Chamber of Commerce, 20 W. Main St., on Tuesday from noon to 3 p.m.<\/p>\n

The open house discussion will primarily cover Chapters 2 and 6 of the proposed updates. While Chapter 2 discusses definitions of the code, Chapter 6 is on application procedures.<\/p>\n

The open house also will also touch on an overview of the proposed changes for the entirety of the code.<\/p>\n

A joint work session will also be hosted with the City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, 123 Roger Smith Ave.<\/p>\n

Draft chapters will be discussed at this meeting. The city added that there will be no action or public comment taken at this meeting.<\/p>\n

There will be, however, a \u201cdrop-in\u201d open house on Dec. 17 where community members can share feedback on the draft chapters.<\/p>\n

For those who wish to attend the work session but cannot in person, there will be a livestream on the city\u2019s YouTube channel<\/a> at www.cortezco.gov\/497\/City-Council-Live-Stream.<\/p>\n

A draft of the entire proposed Land Use Code will also be available online for public comment following the beginning of 2025, according to the city.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
