(Amy Matthews\/Courtesy photo)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>Pueblo Community College Southwest formally announced its 2024 employee of the year on Wednesday. Lisa Molina, the director of student services, was honored as employee of the year in the administrative, professional and technical category.<\/p>\n<p>She was honored on Jan. 16 with three other winners during PCC\u2019s Spring Kickoff and employee recognition event, according to Amy Matthews, PCC\u2019s director of public relations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMolina\u2019s professionalism, integrity and empathy have a significant impact on PCC Southwest students and staff,\u201d PCC said. \u201cShe continually uses feedback from students and staff to make meaningful changes that will improve students\u2019 experiences at PCC.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image naviga-align-left alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=2dffa581-188b-583f-ab32-9cad34904395&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" width=\"891\" height=\"1336\" alt=\"Lisa Molina. (Amy Matthews\/Courtesy photo)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>One of Molina\u2019s coworkers noted the \u201cexceptional communication skills\u201d and \u201ccollaborative partnerships\u201d that exist between the three PCC campuses because of Molina\u2019s efforts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaintenance of these relationships requires ongoing unity, collaboration and leadership,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n<p>Along with working as the director of student services, Molina serves on the Colorado Community College System Dean\u2019s Council and several PCC committees. She has worked at PCC Southwest since 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Before starting at PCC, Molina earned her bachelor\u2019s degree in political science from Alma College, a private Presbyterian liberal arts college in Alma, Michigan. She also achieved two master\u2019s degrees \u2013 one in higher education administration, and the other in philanthropy and fundraising. Both were obtained from Central Michigan University.
