(Anna Vaughn\/Courtesy photo)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>This year, the Dolores School Booster Club is hosting its first Prom Fashion Show with the goal of helping high school students in the community access affordable prom dresses, tuxedos and suits.<\/p>\n<p>The fashion show will include donated and new prom attire for high school students, on Friday, Feb. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Dolores High School Gym. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for a \u201cspecial\u201d prom pop-up shop.<\/p>\n<p>Formal wear will be available for only $25, according to organizers, and the event is open to all students in the community, not just students at Dolores High School.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur event was made possible thanks to the generous donation of an anonymous donor who purchased 70 dresses and new men\u2019s formal wear, including shirts, jackets and tuxedos,\u201d said Staci Cost, secretary of the Dolores Booster Club. \u201cIt\u2019s going to be a wonderful evening of fashion and fun, and we couldn\u2019t have done it without the support of our local businesses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At 6 p.m., the fashion show will start, and Dolores High School students will \u201ctake to the runway\u201d to show the styles that are available to purchase in the pop-up shop. Organizers added that the event will \u201cfeature the debut\u201d of this year\u2019s prom fashion.<\/p>\n<p>Appetizers, music and prizes will also be offered at the event, thanks to the donations of local businesses.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are on sale now, and are available at the Dolores secondary school office. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.
