(Courtesy photo)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>Southwest Health System\u2019s Chief Nursing Officer Lisa Gates was recently appointed to the board of directors for a statewide group of nurse leaders who aim to transform health care collaboratively.<\/p>\n<p>Gates will represent Southwest Colorado on the <a href=\"https:\/\/conl.nursingnetwork.com\/\" id=\"link-25122192d13f3a903616c1653bd553a4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Colorado Organization of Nurse Leaders<\/a> board and will be \u201ca voice for nursing and rural health care.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cServing on that board gives a platform at a statewide level to advocate at a legislative level for nursing and health care issues,\u201d said Gates.<\/p>\n<p>A fellow chief nursing officer first appointed Gates.
