(Robert Hill\/Courtesy photo)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>The Durango-based company that makes dehydrated backpacking meals recently landed a contract with REI.<\/p>\n<p>Five of its meals \u2013 its green chile mac and cheese, thai red curry, three bean chili and cornbread, green chile cheddar grits and thai carrot slaw \u2013 are now available to buy at 35 REI locations across America or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rei.com\/b\/farm-to-summit\/c\/all\" id=\"link-ed2273a73bde0404a77a4488a9e4f8fb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re stoked about it. It\u2019s a huge step for us,\u201d said Louis Barton , co-founder of Farm to Summit.<\/p>\n<p>Barton said they had applied to get into REI \u201ca long time ago,\u201d back when it had a local buy-in program.
