This grant, which is for disaster relief, will help the district with \u201cflood mitigation measures\u201d on the school\u2019s campus.<\/p>\n<p>According to a presentation from The Artaic Group\u2019s Matt Prinster at Dolores\u2019s March school board meeting, 50% of Dolores\u2019s current school campus and 90% of the upcoming project are in a flood plain.<\/p>\n<p>The issues caused by the flood plain are many, including the flooding of the school\u2019s gym a few years ago.
