Chase Sexton placed first overall in Round 13 of the 2025 Supercross season in Philadelphia, maintaining his place behind standings leader Cooper Webb.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the injured Eli Tomac of Cortez shared an Instagram post that showed him riding on a practice course, with an update stating he wanted to be ready to race at the opening race of Motocross. He added that he would like to join a Supercross race as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cBack at it! Goal as of now is @promotocross round 1, would love to sneak in the last round of SX, but we\u2019ll see where the next couple of weeks take us,\u201d his post said.<\/p>\n

Tomac has been out since February after breaking his leg in a practice round in Tampa.<\/p>\n

Last weekend\u2019s rainy and muddy conditions in Foxborough repeated in Philadelphia. Announcers noted that the conditions, which favored Foxborough winner Aaron Plessinger last week, would favor him again.<\/p>\n

In the main event, Plessinger had a strong start but collided with Shane McElrath, Justin Cooper and a few other racers, allowing Justin Barcia to claim the hole shot. Ken Roczen rode in second and Grant Harlan in third.<\/p>\n

After \u201cmissing his rear break,\u201d according to commentators, Barcia slid off the track, allowing Roczen to take the lead. Joey Savatgy moved to second and Malcolm Stewart third.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Sexton raced in fourth and Webb in fifth.<\/p>\n

Sexton soon moved around Stewart for second and began challenging Roczen. Webb also passed Stewart, taking third place.<\/p>\n

Around a turn at the nine-minute mark, Webb passed Roczen around a corner after riding side by side into the turn.<\/p>\n

After passing, Sexton quickly increased his lead to three seconds over second place.<\/p>\n

By the final lap, Webb, who was in second, was nearly 22 seconds ahead of third place Roczen and three second behind Sexton.<\/p>\n

Sexton won the main event, with Webb placing second and Roczen third.<\/p>\n

In the first heat earlier in the evening, Webb had a fast start, but McElrath edged him out for the hole shot. Webb passed right after.<\/p>\n

Plessinger passed McElrath, moving next to Webb and battling him for first.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis guy\u2019s confidence is sky-high at the moment,\u201d commentators said of Plessinger.<\/p>\n

Plessinger passed Webb around the four-minute mark, taking first in the heat. Webb placed second and Stewart third.<\/p>\n

In the second heat, Sexton and Cooper fought for the hole shot, with Cooper claiming it. Throughout the majority of the race, Sexton chipped away at Cooper\u2019s lead. Toward the end of the race, Cooper got \u201cwedged\u201d behind a lapper, allowing Sexton to pass.<\/p>\n

Sexton placed first and Webb took second.<\/p>\n

The next round of Supercross is at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday, April 20.<\/p>\n
