From camaraderie having a cup of coffee with like minded individuals, to having programs like a food pantry, mental health services, rides to and from doctors appointments and many more services.<\/p>\n<p>So, even if a veteran is needing a hand up, they can still hold their head up high and not be judged by the community.<\/p>\n<p>One of DAV\u2019s activities is bringing veterans\u2019 needs to our elected officials from both sides of the aisle. In fact, they should be seeking out what is needed in our communities.<\/p>\n<p>If an elected official uses their \u201cmeet and greet\u201d inappropriately, I have faith in our veteran community to discern that.
