{"id":21675,"date":"2025-06-25T23:30:51","date_gmt":"2025-06-25T23:30:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/seven-injured-in-head-on-collision-north-of-dolores\/"},"modified":"2026-03-31T04:08:01","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T04:08:01","slug":"seven-injured-in-head-on-collision-north-of-dolores","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/seven-injured-in-head-on-collision-north-of-dolores\/","title":{"rendered":"Seven injured in head-on collision north of Dolores"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Four people were flown to hospitals Tuesday night after a head-on collision injured seven people on Colorado Highway 145 northeast of Dolores.<\/p>\n<p>About 5 p.m., a Chevy Silverado carrying four people traveling south on Colorado 145 drove into the northbound lane near mile marker 33, Colorado State Patrol Capt. Angela DeGuelle told <em id=\"emphasis-a19fa2d00c915471d1767121f4531cbb\">The Journal<\/em>. In an apparent attempt to pass, the Silverado skidded and hit the front end of a northbound Ford Ranger occupied by three people.<\/p>\n<p>Four people suffered serious injuries, and three suffered minor injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Of the four with serious injuries, one was evacuated directly from the scene in a CareFlight helicopter. The other three people in the crash were taken to Southwest Memorial Hospital and then to St. Mary\u2019s Hospital in Grand Junction.<\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">Approximate location of crash<\/div>\n<figure class=\"naviga-map\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=37.57585661589%2C-108.20253052346&amp;z=15&amp;output=embed\" width=\"100%\" height=\"400\" style=\"border:0;\" allowfullscreen loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Map\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n<p>DeGuelle could not say which of the four with serious bodily injuries occupied what vehicles.
