FARMINGTON \u2013 One of the most recognizable names in the sport of football during his collegiate and NFL career, Tim Tebow will make an appearance at Ricketts Park on Thursday, July 31, to speak to players at the Connie Mack World Series.<\/p>\n

Tebow will deliver a speech between games at 3 p.m. on a variety of topics. It is open to the public.<\/p>\n

This will not be Tebow\u2019s first appearance in Farmington. In October 2023, Tebow presented the keynote speech at the San Juan Basin Energy Conference held at San Juan College before a second speaking engagement at Hills Church.<\/p>\n

Tebow, born in the Philippines, moved to the United States as a child and played football for Nease High School in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, where he won a state championship and was named the top high school football player in the state.<\/p>\n

Tebow went on to play quarterback at the University of Florida, where he majored in Family, Youth and Community Sciences and led the Gators to win two national championships.<\/p>\n

He became the first sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy when he was named most outstanding college football player in the National Collegiate Athletic Association\u2019s Division I Football Bowl Subdivision in 2007.<\/p>\n

Selected 25th overall in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft by the Denver Broncos, Tebow led the Broncos to the AFC Divisional Playoffs after the 2011 season. His NFL career also featured stints with the Jets, Patriots and Eagles, and a comeback attempt in 2021 with the Jaguars.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old launched the Tim Tebow Foundation in 2010, with initiatives that include hosting prom nights for people with special needs and opening playrooms in hospitals to serve children going through medical challenges.<\/p>\n

Tim is married to Demi-Leigh Tebow \u2013 speaker, author, entrepreneur and former Miss Universe 2017.<\/p>\n

An analyst on the SEC Network\u2019s Saturday morning pregame show, \u201cSEC Nation,\u201d Tebow also appears on ESPN\u2019s \u201cFirst Take,\u201d has produced a movie and has authored a number of books.<\/p>\n
