(Courtesy of Susan Lisak)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>DOLORES \u2013 Giant bubbles, dangling doughnuts and classic cars will set the scene at the Dolores Harvest Fest Saturday at Joe Rowell Park.<\/p>\n<p>The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the park\u2019s baseball diamond and will feature a car show that organizer Susan Lisak calls \u201cthe big showstopper.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve got 10 categories of awards, and the awards are made from reflections in metal, so they\u2019re really cool,\u201d said Lisak, the executive director of the Cortez Cultural Center.<\/p>\n<p>Kids can join pumpkin painting, mini golf, apple tosses and the doughnut-dangling contest \u2013 where participants try to eat a hanging doughnut without using their hands. The Dolores Fire Protection District is bringing its aerator to create giant piles of bubbles.<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=efe1093b-f86f-53bf-b641-9eaf08a77044&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1205\" alt=\"Kids frolic in the bubble pit at last year\u2019s Dolores Harvest Fest. (Courtesy of Susan Lisak)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>\u201cI\u2019ve got 55-gallon buckets of Dawn dish soap to make that happen,\u201d Lisak said with a laugh.<\/p>\n<p>L<a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitdolores.com\/dolores-harvest-fest\" id=\"link-4dfab10968bfa6f71d90f8863fa59e3a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ive music<\/a> begins at 10 a.m. with singer-songwriter Dylan Koskie, a Dolores High School graduate now pursuing a music career.
