Law enforcement on Wednesday identified the victims of a Tuesday night shooting at the Apache Mobile Home Park in Durango that left three people in critical condition.<\/p>\n

The victims were identified as Shelby Campbell, 32, and Emma Sims, 32.<\/p>\n

The women were shot by Campbell\u2019s estranged husband, Bradley Campbell, also 32, who then shot himself, according to a news release from the Durango Police Department.<\/p>\n

Natalie Going, a resident of the park, said Bradley Campbell entered Unit 2, where Shelby Campbell and Emma Sims were preparing to take their dogs for a walk. Bradley<\/p>\n

Campbell opened fire and then shot himself, according to the department.<\/p>\n

The incident was reported about 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

\u201c(Officers) arrived on scene within three minutes and located an open door to the mobile home,\u201d the release read. \u201cUpon entry, officers discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers immediately administered first aid until Durango Fire Protection District personnel arrived and transported all three subjects to Mercy Hospital for further treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Going said the two women\u2019s dogs were running around the park and that officers had to catch them. She said three ambulances left the scene.<\/p>\n

The release said all three remained in critical condition Wednesday at Mercy Hospital, and that the investigation remains active.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo further information will be released until additional facts are confirmed,\u201d the release said.<\/p>\n

This is the second shooting within a week that appears to be related to domestic violence, Police Chief Bryce Current said in the release.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a profoundly tragic time for our community,\u201d Current said. \u201c(It is a) heartbreaking reminder of how critical early intervention can be. Our thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones and everyone affected by these senseless acts of violence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Current urged residents who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence to report it to law enforcement.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour call could save a life,\u201d Current stated. \u201c(DPD) remains steadfast in our commitment to supporting survivors, raising awareness and working side by side with our community partners to stop these tragedies before they happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anyone with information regarding Tuesday\u2019s shooting is asked to call the Durango Police Department at 375-4730.<\/p>\n
