She added the driver did not see Mosley, whose motorcycle \u201ccollided with the front end of the truck.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mosley was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The second crash, on Tuesday, occurred at 6:40 p.m. on East 20th Street near the intersection of North Butler Avenue. The motorcycle was reported as \u201ctraveling at a high rate of speed and weaving through traffic,\u201d Gonzales said.<\/p>\n<p>A driver was making a left turn into the 7-2-11 on East 20th Street when the motorcycle rider, Ariel Delgado, 26, hit the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Delgado was unresponsive when medics arrived. He was transported to San Juan Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>These crashes led Farmington Police traffic officer Jose Hernandez to speak out on social media about traffic safety.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese incidents are a heartbreaking reminder of the importance of staying alert and sharing the road safely,\u201d Hernandez said. He added that everyone on the road needs to \u201cslow down, stay alert and watch out for one another.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hernandez advised drivers that because motorcycles are smaller, they can be more difficult to see and may appear farther away than they are.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTake an extra moment to look twice before turning or pulling into traffic,\u201d he said. \u201cYour attention can save a life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Motorcyclists should make certain they are visible while riding, Hernandez said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKeep your headlights on, wear bright or reflective gear and ride responsibly.
