DENVER \u2013 After the program\u2019s winningest season and its first state tournament appearance in six years, the Dolores volleyball team landed three players to Colorado\u2019s all-state teams.<\/p>\n

Junior outside hitters Aubree Wyatt and Kendall Chavez joined freshman Addyson Wyatt as all-state selections \u2013 the county\u2019s only players chosen by league coaches.<\/p>\n

The Bears closed out a 25-3 season, headlined by an 11-1 mark in their San Juan Basin League schedule, and claimed their first regional title and state berth in six years.<\/p>\n

Aubree Wyatt took home second-team all-state, leading Dolores and the league in kills and hitting percentage. Wyatt joined classmate Kendall Chavez as part of one of the top hitting duos in the 2A classification, with Chavez topping 300 kills and Wyatt nearing 500 kills.<\/p>\n

Chavez made the honorable mention squad, joining freshman Addyson Wyatt \u2014 both earning their first all-state honors. Addyson Wyatt led the team in blocks as part of a strong front line that lost six sets during the regular season.<\/p>\n

Student-athletes are eligible if they earn first-team honors in their respective leagues, after statewide coaches vote for first team, second team or honorable mention.<\/p>\n
