Five local acts will perform Jan. 1 to raise money for a Mancos family whose home burned days before Christmas.<\/p>\n

The event is scheduled from 2 to 6 p.m. at Columbine Bar & Grill, 123 Grand Ave. in Mancos. Attendees can donate to the Yake family by cash or electronically, including Venmo.<\/p>\n

All proceeds will benefit the family, said Goathead member William Perritt.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe event is going to benefit the family and raise money for whatever expenses that they have coming up,\u201d Perritt told The Journal. <\/em>\u201cI do not know them, but this was something that, when the call went out so to speak, a lot of local musicians jumped in to try to put an event together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Performers include Goathead, High Desert Strays, Mark Gibson, Ben Kraftwerx and headliners Genuine Cowhide, which Perritt called \u201cnitro country\u201d and \u201ccountry rock.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur main goal is just as much money as we can for this family,\u201d Perritt said. \u201cIt came together very fast and with a few hiccups, but we\u2019ve got a really good sound engineer that\u2019s going to be handling all the acts. He\u2019s given his time and he\u2019s the one that\u2019s putting the most out there for this.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Yake family\u2019s home on East Sunset Drive in Mancos burned Dec. 10, along with four vehicles. No injuries were reported, and the cause has not been released.<\/p>\n
