Eric Burke wrote in the report that he could \u201csmell a strong odor of alcohol\u201d on both Orozco Obando and Hernandez-Rios, who reportedly admitted the two had been drinking earlier at No Worries Sports Bar and Grill at the Four Corners Regional Airport.<\/p>\n<p>Burke also found a case of Corona with broken beer bottles on the roadside near the vehicle and footprints matching those of Hernandez-Rios near the bottles, the report states.<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=8d794f90-7727-5366-8d6a-52c340c6a81f&#038;function=cover&#038;type=preview&#038;source=false&#038;width=2000\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" alt=\"Karina Hernadez-Rios, 36, of Farmington is charged with tampering with evidence in connection to a weekend vehicular homicide.\" class=\"naviga-image\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><figcaption><span class=\"caption\">Karina Hernadez-Rios, 36, of Farmington is charged with tampering with evidence in connection to a weekend vehicular homicide.<\/span><span class=\"credit\">cca<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Hernandez-Rios was charged with third-degree felony tampering with evidence for reportedly trying to dispose of the bottle, which had been in the Kia, the report states.<\/p>\n<p>Orozco Obando and Hernandez-Rios were arrested and booked into the San Juan County Detention Center Dec. 21, and both were released the next day.<\/p>\n<p>A preliminary hearing set for Dec. 30 was continued at the request of the San Juan County District Attorney\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>Senior trial prosecutor Ronald Colquitt was out of town on administrative leave for the holiday, according to the motion for continuance.<\/p>\n<p>Hernandez-Rios\u2019 preliminary hearing has been rescheduled for 8:30 a.m. Jan. 15 in San Juan County Magistrate Court.<\/p>\n<p>Orozco Obando\u2019s preliminary hearing has been rescheduled for 8:30 a.m. Jan. 29 in San Juan County Magistrate Court.
