That does not seem overly timely.”

In a Nov. 12, 2025, motion, Cameron stated he learned in September 2025 from alleged witness Ravyn Burns that “a large quantity of the drug methamphetamine was ingested by the defendant a few days/weeks prior to and during” the dates of the alleged crimes.

“It became clear large quantities of methamphetamine were used by the defendant over the course of months to years,” Cameron wrote.

Cameron also stated in the motion that Brown “made very little mention” of his methamphetamine use during law enforcement interviews.

Because of this, Cameron hired Dr. Susan Cave, a Santa Fe-based forensic psychologist, to evaluate Brown for “competency, insanity and inability to form specific intent,” according to court records.

The motion stated that Cave “concluded” Brown “was indeed unable to form specific intent” regarding the crimes he allegedly committed.

Cameron also requested that Cave be permitted to testify, and Wayne ordered her testimony during the jury trial, scheduled for March 24 in Wayne’s Aztec courtroom.

[28,29,994

post-13973","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tag-headlines","tag-newsletter","tag-trueanthem
["GET
