The Montezuma-Cortez School District has multiple open positions and is interested in hiring recent graduates to fill the roles.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>

The Montezuma-Cortez School District RE-1 has announced it is hiring paraprofessionals, bus aides, cooks and secretaries at all of its campuses, targeting recent graduates and others interested in starting a career in education.<\/p>\n

The positions require no college degree and include on-the-job training. Employees would support students, assist teachers with various activities and organization, and serve as positive role models for students.<\/p>\n

The district highlighted the roles as a way to make a difference while gaining real-life experience working with students and teachers. They described the open positions as \u201csteppingstones\u201d that can help students who are interested in working in the field of education. A college tuition assistance program is also available for education degrees at Fort Lewis College.<\/p>\n

Applications are being accepted by phone at the district\u2019s HR department, (970) 565-7282 extension 1136; online at cortez<\/a>.k12<\/a>.co<\/a>.us<\/a> under \u201ccareers\u201d; or in person at the district office, 400 N. Elm Street in Cortez.<\/p>\n
