Stiegelmeyer rebounded from a semifinal loss at 113 pounds to pin his consolation opponent and win 6–3 in the third-place match. Snyder took third at 144 pounds with two major decisions and surpassed 40 season victories.

Daves and girls head coach James Snyder continue to build the developing program. “We have our girls practicing with the boys team, which helps get them prepared for tough competition – and many of our girls wrestled last year, too, so they’re used to that level,” Daves said.

Sophomore CeJae Snyder placed second at 115 pounds for the Panthers girls squad and earned a state berth alongside junior AnnaLisa Abeyta, who finished fourth at 110 pounds.

M-CHS nearly qualified more competitors.
