Jeff Hurd\u2019s southwest regional director since July.<\/p>\n<p>From Hurd\u2019s regional office in the West Building on East Second Avenue, residents can schedule appointments to speak with Huff by phone or drop in during office hours.<\/p>\n<p>The position\u2019s main function, Huff said, is to provide an impartial ear to listen to the concerns, feedback and comments of the 3rd Congressional District\u2019s constituents and communicate them to the congressman and his team. Huff does not lobby on behalf of Hurd and is not personally involved with the campaign or his work in Congress.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her regional director role, Huff works as a water lawyer with her law office, Colorado Water and Land LLC, focusing on water rights and property. She is also the treasurer and secretary of the Southwest Colorado Water Conservation District, according to her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swwcd.org\/amy-novak-huff\" id=\"link-1339703606a45fd6af6f63457f0f1717\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bio on the organization\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Huff studied anthropology at the University of Boulder, then earned her law degree from the University of Denver.
