TRACK AND FIELD<\/div>\n

The Dolores boys track and field team is edging closer to securing qualification for all four of their relays to the 2A state championships. Their most recent exploit \u2013 a 45.55 4 x 100 relay to win the Mancos Bluejays Invitational on Saturday afternoon. DHS also enjoyed wins from sophomore Joseph Padilla in the 3,200 (10:51.31) and senior Bridger Beyhan in the 400 (54.82).<\/p>\n

The Bears girls team also took home a relay title in the 4 x 200 (2:05.09), while sophomores Addy Thompson finished third in both hurdle disciplines and Emma Nielson took home fourth in the 100 and 200.<\/p>\n

The host Bluejays rode top finishes from freshmen Tymbri Priestley (100 \u2013 13.24), Carly Kroll (1,600 \u2013 5:47.11) and senior Destiny Kramer (high jump \u2013 4\u2019 10\u201d) in their final tuneup before Mancos hosts The Basin league championships on Tuesday. Sophomore Laney Palmer added a runner-up finish in the 100 hurdles (18.59).<\/p>\n

Mancos\u2019 boys won both the 4 x 400 (4:03.21) and 4 x 800 (10:22.43), while senior Jonah Ritter took runner-up in both of the short sprints.<\/p>\n

Dove Creek senior Jonathan Davis took second in the 400 meters (56.97) as the top Bulldogs boys placement, while junior William Arellano took third in the 800 (2:28.53). Sophomore Ayla Coffey took third in the shot put (28\u2019 8\u201d) and senior Kaylen Trejo claimed fourth in the 800 (3:33.43).<\/p>\n

Mancos took third in the girls team results to top the SJBL representatives, while Dolores earned fourth and DC finished ninth. Dolores\u2019 boys took second to meet champion Durango, while Mancos ended up fourth, and the Bulldogs landed in seventh.<\/p>\n

GIRLS SOCCER<\/div>\n

M-CHS 4, Ridgway 2 (Saturday)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

With the regular season wrapping up next weekend, the Panthers collected another road win, taking down the Demons with a pair of goals on each side of halftime. The result flipped the score line from their first meeting in mid-March, and earned the Panthers double-digit wins in the process.<\/p>\n

M-CHS (10-2, 6-0 3A IML) will celebrate Senior Day on Tuesday against Del Norte for a 3 p.m. match, before they take on a pair of Southwestern League foes \u2013 Grand Junction and Grand Junction Central \u2013 to close out the regular season on Apr. 30 and May 1.<\/p>\n
