Fort Lewis College has announced a four-week women\u2019s leadership series in response to \u201cstrong feedback\u201d from attendees of the February Durango Women\u2019s Leadership Conference, the school said in a news release.<\/p>\n

The Women\u2019s Leadership Conference was held for the second year Feb. 26 on the Fort Lewis College campus, and proceeds benefited FLC Women\u2019s Athletics.<\/p>\n

\u201cAttendees of February\u2019s conference consistently shared a common request: more time with presenters to move from inspiration to application,\u201d the release read. \u201cThe Women\u2019s Leadership in Practice Series responds directly to that call, offering interactive workshops that focus on practical tools, guided activities, and real-world leadership strategies.\u201d<\/p>\n

The series, which will run from 4:30 to 6 p.m. each Tuesday in April at the Fort Lewis College Center for Innovation, will leave participants with \u201ctangible takeaways such as a plan, framework, tool, or personal insight to support their leadership journey,\u201d the release said.<\/p>\n

The Women\u2019s Leadership in Practice Series is open to the public. The participation deadline is April 6, and costs $99 per person. Space is limited, according to the college. Four speakers are slated to lead the respective sessions.<\/p>\n

According to the release, Tuesday\u2019s session, led by Michelle Flemmings, will be focused on clarifying leadership objectives and creating an actionable plan; the April 14 session, led by Maggie Emerson, will explore how identity shapes decision-making, confidence and financial growth; the April 21 session, led by Melissa May, will tackle recognizing and responding to burnout; and the April 28 session, led by Robin Duffy-Wirth, will center around confidence, courage and meaningful change.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis series is about building confidence, creating meaningful connections, and giving participants tools they can immediately apply \u2012 while also fostering a strong network of support across the region,\u201d said Phelps Feeley, assistant director of workforce and community relations at Fort Lewis College, in the release.<\/p>\n
