{"id":121273,"date":"2014-03-25T22:13:37","date_gmt":"2014-03-26T04:13:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/byu-television-filming-reality-show-in-four-corners\/"},"modified":"2014-03-25T22:13:37","modified_gmt":"2014-03-26T04:13:37","slug":"byu-television-filming-reality-show-in-four-corners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/byu-television-filming-reality-show-in-four-corners\/","title":{"rendered":"BYU television filming reality show in Four Corners"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>BYUtv officials recently announced they plan to film an unplanned and completely unscripted episode of the show over a four-day period in Durango, Cortez and Dove Creek starting March 22.<\/p>\n<p>Creator and host Todd Hansen said filming the first person that agrees to be on television provides the show\u2019s magic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost people tell us they are boring,\u201d Hansen said. \u201cBut I\u2019ve found that every life is fascinating, and every individual is worth getting to know if they\u2019re open to it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The production team\u2019s journey starts with only a general idea of where filming will occur, and they have no idea who will be featured in the show. A former reporter for KSTU-TV in Salt Lake City, Hansen said the show works well because everybody has an interesting story to tell.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe meet people from all walks of life, and we meet them right where they are,\u201d Hanson said. \u201cNo matter where the story begins, it almost always comes around to something positive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Producers said crews would film in Cortez for one day only on Tuesday, March 25.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Story Trek\u201d is broadcast to more than 50 million homes across the United States on BYUtv. The show is also streamed at www.byutv.com.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:tbaker@cortezjournal.com\">tbaker@cortezjournal.com<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-scoreboard\">\n<h4 class=\"scoreboard-title\">Animal Planet will feature local bounty hunter<\/h4>\n<p>Scheduled to premiere next month, an Animal Planet television series will feature a local bounty hunter.<br>\n                A six-part series, Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters, is set to premiere on April 13.
