River picking up<\/p>\n
As the temperatures warm up, the river begins to speed up. The sleepy Dolores River is starting to roar to life this spring and peaked at around 1,500 cfs this week. That is higher than average. Let\u2019s just hope there is enough snow up there to get McPhee Reservoir back up to looking like a proper Reservoir, rather that the puddle it looks like today.<\/p>\n
Farewell, Stuart<\/p>\n
Stuart Hanold announced recently that he was resigning from the Dolores Chamber of Commerce and plans to devote his time to his other job: pastor at the Cortez Family Worship Center.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ll miss it, but I\u2019ll still be around,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Hanold was the first director of the chamber, and manages the Dolores Visitors Center.<\/p>\n
During his tenure at the Chamber, membership jumped from 55 in 2007 to 140 today.<\/p>\n
