{"id":120338,"date":"2014-05-12T22:08:23","date_gmt":"2014-05-13T04:08:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/osprey-gives-back-with-annual-sale\/"},"modified":"2014-05-12T22:08:23","modified_gmt":"2014-05-13T04:08:23","slug":"osprey-gives-back-with-annual-sale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/osprey-gives-back-with-annual-sale\/","title":{"rendered":"Osprey gives back with annual sale"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Five percent of the proceeds from the sale on Friday, May 9, will be donated to both the Cortez Cultural Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to showcasing Southwestern culture and art, and CASA of the Four Corners, a non-profit  dedicated to helping abused or neglected children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were thrilled that Osprey chose us,\u201d said CASA case manager Barbara Casey. \u201cIt shows they care about the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Casey said her organization\u2019s share of the proceeds would be utilized to recruit and train additional volunteers, who conduct independent observations of abused and neglected children and serve as a voice on their behalf in the judicial system.<\/p>\n<p>Cortez Area Chamber of Commerce executive director Dena Guttridge applauded Osprey\u2019s endeavor, stating that the company understands the importance of giving back to the community and being a good neighbor.
