Weary commuters soon will have reason to rejoice.<\/p>\n
Long lines at the construction zones along Colorado 145 should end this week as the Colorado Department of Transportation wraps up a repaving project that has lasted most of the summer.<\/p>\n
If the weather cooperates, crews should be finished paving the main sections of the 10-mile stretch of highway by Friday. The following two weeks, crews should work on paving the residential and county road approaches to the new pavement, CDOT communications manager Nancy Shanks said.<\/p>\n
Paving the approaches should not block the highway as much as paving the main section of the road, Shanks said.<\/p>\n
It should take about two weeks to finish all the residential, business and county road approaches. During the first full week of October, crews will finish the project with finishing touches with signs and painting.<\/p>\n
The project should be finished by Oct. 8 or Oct. 9.<\/p>\n
