{"id":117627,"date":"2014-09-24T21:02:09","date_gmt":"2014-09-25T03:02:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/produce-galore-at-fall-festival\/"},"modified":"2014-09-24T21:02:09","modified_gmt":"2014-09-25T03:02:09","slug":"produce-galore-at-fall-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/produce-galore-at-fall-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Produce galore at Fall Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The third annual Dolores Fall Festival will take place Saturday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Flanders Park.<\/p>\n<p>Organizer Ruby Gonzales said this year there will be a record 25 vendors selling fresh produce, jams, crafts, artwork, and baked goods.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt keeps growing every year,\u201d she said. \u201cI was inspired to try it out after visiting a similar festival in the San Luis Valley.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Our Lady of Victory Catholic church will serve up cheeseburgers, hot dogs and brats. The Dolores Booster club will be selling their famous chili bowl.<\/p>\n<p>Local vendors are coming from Dove Creek, Mancos, Dolores, Bayfield, and even from Thornton.<\/p>\n<p>The Mad Canners of Dolores will be there, said member Tanya Hainey.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe festival has a little bit of everything,\u201d she said. \u201cIt is fun to check out what people are growing and all the arts and crafts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lori McGuire, a local artist, will be selling candles, silk flower arrangements and photo albums.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is a lot of variety at this event,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s nice for the community to come out and get together.
