Read and follow all the directions with the ballot. Each ballot must be returned in the envelope that came with it, not the envelope that came with the ballot for another member of the household.<\/p>\n
Ballots can be mailed back; allow plenty of time for delivery. Or they can be inserted in 24-hour drop boxes at Bayfield Town Hall or the La Pata County Clerk\u2019s Office at 98 Everett St. south of the Centennial Shopping Center in Durango.<\/p>\n
There are lots of other options and times for La Plata County voters to turn in ballots, including Saturdays:<\/p>\n

To register to vote or to update your address if you have moved, go to www.govotecolorado.com; or download an application from www.laplatacountyclerk.org and mail it back to 98 Everett St., suite C, Durango CO 81303; or register in person at the clerk\u2019s office or the county annex in Bayfield Town Hall.<\/p>\n
The county clerk\u2019s office has a long list of documents voters can use as their identification to vote, including valid Colorado drivers license or ID card issued by the Colorado Department of Revenue; valid U.S. passport; valid federal, state or local government employee photo ID; FAA pilot\u2019s license; military or veteran\u2019s photo ID; Medicare or Medicaid card; student photo ID from a Colorado institution; and tribal member ID cards.<\/p>\n
