{"id":116270,"date":"2014-11-27T17:52:06","date_gmt":"2014-11-28T00:52:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/flc-lands-lands-first-female-recruits\/"},"modified":"2014-11-27T17:52:06","modified_gmt":"2014-11-28T00:52:06","slug":"flc-lands-lands-first-female-recruits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/flc-lands-lands-first-female-recruits\/","title":{"rendered":"FLC lands lands first female recruits"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Fort Lewis College track and field program made history this week with its first female recruit.<\/p>\n<p>Bridgett Gantt, a three-year track and field letterwinner for Sand Creek High School in Colorado Springs, signed her national letter of intent to jump and sprint for the Skyhawks in the spring of 2016.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBridgett is our first recruit signee for the women\u2019s track and field program at Fort Lewis College,\u201d FLC head coach Mark Dutro said Tuesday in a news release to The Durango Herald.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe has a sister who runs for UCCS, so a little (intraleague) rivalry will be interesting and a fun prospect,\u201d Dutro said of Hayley Gantt, a freshman jumper and sprinter for the UC-Colorado Springs Mountain Lions.<\/p>\n<p>Victoria Quintana is the Skyhawks\u2019 second recruit from Santa Fe High School in as many days.
