{"id":115455,"date":"2015-01-06T18:30:04","date_gmt":"2015-01-07T01:30:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/suspects-sought-in-two-store-break-ins\/"},"modified":"2015-01-06T18:30:04","modified_gmt":"2015-01-07T01:30:04","slug":"suspects-sought-in-two-store-break-ins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/suspects-sought-in-two-store-break-ins\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspects sought in two store break-ins"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Mancos Marshal\u2019s Office is looking for suspects in two break-ins at the Mancos Liquor Store.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, the store  still had boarded-up windows.<\/p>\n<p>The first break-in occurred on Dec. 22 at 12:40 a.m. Marshal Tom Cox was called to the liquor store, located in the 100 block of Frontage Road, after owner Ryan McKike noticed a broken window.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA piece of asphalt was thrown through the window,\u201d Cox said.<\/p>\n<p>Inside, Cox found a partial footprint, and when the security videos were inspected, they found their suspect.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe saw the rock fly through the window, and a subject wearing a dark-colored hoodie, blue jeans and tennis shoes climbed through the hole. He or she also had on sunglasses and a bandanna,\u201d Cox said.<\/p>\n<p>It took 35 seconds for the suspected to climb through the hole and grab three bottles of liquor.<\/p>\n<p>The second burglary occurred on Dec. 28 at 12:30 a.m. This time, a chunk of asphalt was thrown through the store\u2019s front window, and security videos showed  two suspects.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth of the individuals ran to the shelves and took two or three bottles of hard liquor,\u201d Cox said.<\/p>\n<p>No arrests have been made in the case, which is under investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Cox said the New Year\u2019s holiday was very quiet.<\/p>\n<p>He also said that the Marshal\u2019s Office is piloting new lapel video cameras, that could be turned on when the marshal or deputy marshal\u2019s felt the need to do so.<\/p>\n<p>The cameras look a lot like a small walkie-talkie.<\/p>\n<p>And to update, no charges have been filed yet in the crash that left four parked cars near the Mancos Skate Park wrecked when a woman\u2019s car left the highway.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>suspects entering broken window<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[6371],"tags":[13],"naviga_topic":[],"class_list":["post-115455","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-mt-news","tag-frontpage-lead"],"acf":[],"author_name":"dh_admin","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/115455","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=115455"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/115455\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=115455"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=115455"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=115455"},{"taxonomy":"naviga_topic","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/naviga_topic?post=115455"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
