Periodic roundups are necessary to maintain an optimum herd level of 35 to 65 horses. More animals strain resources.<\/p>\n

No roundup is scheduled this year.<\/p>\n

The proposal for bait trapping was made in August 2014 by the Colorado Chapter of the National Mustang Association and the Four Corners and Mesa Verde backcountry horseman groups.<\/p>\n

The Spring Creek herd-management area lies between Dove Creek and Norwood in the Disappointment Valley.<\/p>\n
