Christopher Collins, 34, pleaded guilty to violating a protection order. He was sentenced last month, with credit for 285 days served. Sexual-assault charged were dismissed as part of the deal.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis still affects my life daily,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

District Attorney Will Furse said the disposition was reached after determining that he would be unable to prove the sexual allegations.<\/p>\n

Defender Whitney Smith described Collins as a social misfit who abused drugs since age 9.<\/p>\n

Collins read an emotional, apologetic statement. Upon his release, Collins said he wanted to serve as a responsible role model to his son.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope my children can look up to me one day,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

District Court Judge Todd Plewe told Collins he\u2019d terrorized the victim for years.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be a good father, you have to respect your child\u2019s mother,\u201d Plewe said. \u201cYou have not been a good father.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adding that previous rehabilitative efforts had failed, Plewe said, \u201cI\u2019m left with no choice but to lock you up as long as I can.\u201d<\/p>\n

A restitution hearing in the case has been scheduled in June.<\/p>\n

The mother told police that Collins had drugged her daughter in April 2014, then had sex and allowed others to have sex in exchange for money while her daughter was unconscious.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
