The Colorado State Patrol has confirmed that a Hollywood actor Robert Carradine paid the fine for a careless driving ticket issued last month.<\/p>\n
CSP spokesperson Sgt. Rob Madden said Carradine, 61, mailed a $169.50 payment directly to the Department of Revenue after he was ticketed for colliding with a semi-trailer on Colorado Highway 145 east of Dolores.<\/p>\n
The Santa Barbara, Calif., resident was issued a careless driving ticket for a lane violation, according to the CSP. Madden added that Carradine also had four points tacked onto his driving record.<\/p>\n
Both lanes of traffic near mile marker 14 were closed for more than two hours after Carradine\u2019s 2003 Mercury Marauder crossed the centerline and collided with a southbound 2014 semi at 2:17 p.m. on Thursday, March 5.<\/p>\n
Carradine and his wife, Edith Carradine, were both wearing seatbelts, and neither speed nor alcohol were a factor in the crash, according to the state patrol.<\/p>\n
Both were initially transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez with nonlife-threatening injuries before being transferred Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango.<\/p>\n

Carradine is most famous for his role as fraternity president Lewis Skolnick in the 1984 film \u201cRevenge of the Nerds.\u201d<\/p>\n
