Money raised would go to scholarships for the children of alumni.<\/span><span class=\"credit\">Courtesy of Fort Lewis College<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThe vast majority of four-year colleges in Colorado have one,\u201d said Dave Kerns, director of Alumni Engagement. \u201cI looked at several other schools online, and it appears they get $50 for each license plate sold.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Money raised will go to the Alumni Scholarship Fund to help children of alumni attend the college. According to Sandy Jameson, who manages scholarships for the FLC Foundation, the fund gave 35 scholarships for the 2014-15 school year. Kerns said they range from $500 to $5,000.<\/p>\n<p>Visit www.fortlewis.edu\/alumni\/BenefitsServices\/LicensePlatePetition.aspx to sign the petition. You must be a Colorado resident to sign.
