The answer: side-splitting fun.<\/p>\n

Prepare to laugh out loud Monday and Tuesday, May 4 and May 5, at 7 p.m. inside the Performance Center at the Mancos High School during \u201cSuper \u2018Sylum,\u201d which was written by students. Tickets cost $5 for adults and $3 for students, children and seniors.<\/p>\n

The premise is that four young people have been placed in an insane asylum for believing that they are superheroes. When a fifth girl joins the group, things get shaken up at the asylum, and their true identities are revealed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey think they are insane, but they really have superpowers,\u201d said Brittney Peacock, a 10th-grader.<\/p>\n

Olivia Winter-Holm, a senior at Mancos High School, helped write the play.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s going to be funny,\u201d Winter-Holm said. \u201cIt\u2019s a really good story line.\u201d<\/p>\n

Peacock plays the evil doctor, and Winter-Holm plays the evil assistant,<\/p>\n

Winter-Holm said she enjoys writing, which is why she stays in drama.<\/p>\n

Peacock is excited about the upcoming performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur play last year went really well and I wanted to do it again,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Students were busy practicing the play on Monday.<\/p>\n

Vincent Grego, a speedy superhero, bragged to the other superheroes, \u201cI can catch a butterfly in .36 seconds.\u201d<\/p>\n
